Samsung DeX extends Wireless support to PCs

Samsung introduced the Samsung DeX in early 2017. Cut back to 2020, and it brought the ability to connect to TVs/Monitors wirelessly. However, it was limited to certain compatible models. That is changing now and as spotted by Android Police, it is now extending the support to PCs.

Although Samsung’s Insights webpage on Wireless DeX says “latest devices”, currently, the Samsung Galaxy S21 series running One UI 3.1 only seems to support it. To get it, update the DeX client on the PC to the latest version.

Now, follow the steps below:

• Open the DeX shortcut on the Phone and Select the “DeX on PC” option.
  * From the list of devices available(if many), choose one and select “Start Now”.
  * After accepting the Prompt on PC, you can start using it wirelessly.
