iPhone 14 series pricing is leaked way ahead of its launch — TechUnofficial
iPhone 14 series pricing will start off at $799 and will go up to $1199 for the base storage variant, but there’s a twist this year…
There are strong rumors that the iPhone 14 will be featuring A15 chipset which is already featured in iPhone 13. Can’t get the point! So only the Pro models will be getting the A1 Chipset, now that’s a serious cost-cutting…
Now you might think that a new iPhone with an older chipset means lower pricing, but that’s not the case, Jon Prosser has shared the pricing for the iPhone 14 series. With iPhone 14 which starts at $799 just like last year, and iPhone 14 Pro with a price tag of $1099 and to fill the gap there’s a new device in the lineup 14 max with pricing of $899, and iPhone 14 Pro max the highest at $1199, and these are just for the base storage variant (128GB).
Now the reason for Apple using older chipsets in the newer devices is still unknown, but this is serious cost-cutting. And this is not the end, Chinese display manufacturer BOE is in talks with Apple to manufacture a display for iPhone 14. And there are rumors that iPhone 14 and 14 Max will have OLED panels from BOE while iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will be having display panels from LG or Samsung. And the display Panels from BOE are inexpensive compared to LG or Samsung.
We have also seen the new iPhone display images with a pill-shaped cutout for the face ID and the front-facing camera, which is only available on the Pro models, and for the non-Pro models, it’s the usual notch which is kinda irritating…
I would have considered the iPhone 14 with A15 for a lower price of $699 but I don’t think that’s gonna happen. This is my view, let me know your’s in the comment section…
